Starting point

Jewellery that exists as a single piece cannot look like a line in a catalogue.

Mass-market store platforms show every product the same way: thumbnail, price, button. For pieces made one at a time, that takes away the most valuable thing they have. The Varleu store had to work like a visit to a boutique, not like browsing an offer.

What the site had to do

  • The first screen builds the brand before it shows a price
  • Every piece shown as the only one of its kind
  • A high-value purchase without a moment of doubt

The decisions,one by one.

Varleu: One frame instead of a product grid

One frame instead of a product grid

The store opens with a photograph, not an offer. The brand name is woven into the frame: some of the letters sit behind the mountain peak, so the lettering and the photograph read as one piece.

  • The brand name layered into the photograph
  • A single call to action on the screen
  • A menu kept to six items
Varleu: Every piece exists only once

Every piece exists only once

The product page says what no thumbnail can: this piece has a number and there is no other like it. The photograph takes more than half the screen, and beside it stays only what the decision needs.

  • A piece number and a "1 of 1" mark
  • One large photograph instead of a thumbnail gallery
  • Price, one button and the purchase terms within sight
Varleu: Choosing by path, not by filter

Choosing by path, not by filter

Instead of "metal, stone, price" filters the store asks one question: which path do you take? Three paths lead to three stones, and the answer ends with a specific piece, its price and a way to the cart.

  • Three paths instead of a list of filters
  • The section background changes with the choice
  • The result leads straight to the piece and the cart
Varleu: A cart that reassures at a high price

A cart that reassures at a high price

When spending several thousand zlotys, a buyer looks for a reason to back out. The cart answers three worries before they are raised: is it authentic, will it arrive safely, and can it be returned.

  • Certificate of authenticity, insured delivery, 14 days to return
  • Stripe: card, BLIK, Przelewy24, Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • One total and one button, with no steps in between

Under the bonnet, the part nobody sees.
